As you are most probably aware, the flood of human suffering in Myanmar (Burma) remains unabated.

Sadly, it does appear that the eventual toll of human lives lost, injuries suffered and death from disease will exceed that of the devastating Asian tsunami of a few years ago and likely the greatest single-event tragedy the world has ever known.

In the midst of a disaster on an unprecedented scale, the Burmese Military Government appears to be callously indifferent to the suffering of their own citizens. They continue to deny international aid workers entry into the country, are only allowing a small trickle of aid to flow through, are selling their rice supplies to other nations while their own people starve or eat spoiled rice and have sealed off access to most of the affected areas.

There is a way!

Whilst many of the larger, better known organisations are experiencing difficulty gaining entry into Burma, we now have established several proven routes for getting supplies and funds into the country and we already have some of our Burmese leaders in the main disaster areas.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to continue the flow of relief into Burma.

We desperately need finances to buy food, supplies and medicines in Burma to speed up the aid process. Our contacts within Burma can buy most of what the people need and the rest we will ‘transport’ in.

Please help us to help them by taking action and make a donation today. Also, to avoid confusion, please ensure that the funds are marked ‘Burma Relief Fund’.

Thousands of people were killed in a devastating ‘Cyclone Nargis’ that hit western Burma on Saturday. Nargis hit the south-east Asian country on Saturday with wind speeds reaching 190km/h (120mph). It brought with it a sea surge that smashed through towns and villages. Five regions - home to 24 million people - have been declared disaster zones. People in Rangoon are queuing for drinking water. UN officials say hundreds of thousands are without shelter. Entire villages have disappeared!

The Haven Foundation has an extensive Network of Helpers within Burma that are ready to help and set up much needed Resources

We are currently working on a Cyclone Nargis Relief Needs List which will be updated soon:

The recent movie ‘RAMBO’ has brought Burma to the surface of the International media ONCE MORE.
The Movie may be a dramatic action movie, but the details of the sorrow, brutality and hopelessness is very real.
The Haven Foundation is a welfare and assistance program located in Thailand next door to Burma and is heavily involved in helping the displaced, sick and injured peoples fleeing into Thailand. Medical teams, food assistance and provisions are given and hope is renewed. Please help us to help them.

Approximately 100,000 Karens live as refugees in huge camps along the Thai-Burmese border. Life is endured under the constant threat of attack from Burma. Camps are destroyed and relocated resulting in a population reliant on hand outs unable to establish any cultural self sufficiency.
