Haven Homes aims to provide this by creating a loving family centred environment for children to grow into mature functioning adults.  Homes are kept to small numbers and run by House parents.

We care for children which have been selected according to strict guidelines that ensure that we are only taking care of the most desperate and vulnerable children who have either lost one or both parents, and have no other family who is able or willing to care for them.

Some of the children have been found living on the streets, fending for themselves, eating garbage and food left over for the dogs at the temple.

Others were at serious risk of being sold to traffickers and brothel agents who would sell them into a life of sexual slavery in the larger cities of Thailand.

Still others were subjected to a home where one parent had died and the other parent or family member who was drug addict, alcoholic, or abuser.

Haven homes have been successfully running for over 12 years in Thailand and Myanmar (Burma).  We have four home in Thailand and 26 in Myanmar.  Many of our children have already become adults and are now leading successful and productive lives.  Others are currently being trained under one of our vocational trainee programs which will set them up for a bright future.
